 The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Atlanta Hawks as Luka Doncic scored 73 points, the fourth most in NBA history.

 The 24-year-old Slovenian broke the Mavericks' record  of 60 points, set in 2022 against the New York Knicks.

NBA Only the legendary Wilt Chamberlain (100 points and his 78 points) and Kobe Bryant (78 points) have scored more goals in 77 years. ``It was just exciting,'' Doncic said after the Mavericks' 148-143 win.

`Sometimes I couldn't believe it. '' Doncic had 10 rebounds and seven assists. He made 25 of 33 shots from the floor (including eight 3-pointers) and  15 of  16 free throws.

Latest His NBA Scores Chamberlain also scored 2 of his 73 points in 1962, and David Thompson achieved that number in his 1978. Doncic became the 10th player in the NBA to score at least 70 points in a game, as Joel Embiid broke the Philadelphia 76ers' franchise record on Monday. This is the highest score since Los Angeles Lakers legend Bryant scored 81 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2006.
